برای فولاد با مشخصات ذیل و ضخامت ۲۵ میلیمتر- کاربرد انرژی ضربه ۵۴j در دمای ۴۰- سانتی گراد- و روش جوشکاری زیرپودری، چه ترکیبی از سیم جوش و فلاکس را انتخاب می کنید؟

مشخصات ورق و کاربرد:

Parent material: API Steel 5LX70 PSL2 – LR 570-760 MPa- Thickness 25.00 mm
Welding Manufacturing of tube by submerged arc process.
This joint has no post heat treatment welding.
Requirement to impact application is 54J to -40’C .
The welding is performed on a pass from each side with tandem- arc- 3 arches .

Chris Cobain An alternative to low alloy consumable selection for this C-Mn steel material is EM12K / F7A6 or EH14 / F7A6, (or F7P6 if stress relieved). This classification is a standard SAW consumable combination at steel mills to achieve 570 MPa + for SAW longitudinal weld seams. This consumable classification typically provides 485 MPa + SMYS and respectable CVN values at -46 deg C, even with tandem AC / DC SAW methodologies. I do suggest you adopt a reputable consumable manufacturer for SAW wire and flux as cheaper brand consumables tend to struggle the upper end of YS / TS and CVN expectations for weld deposits to API 5L X70 / ISO 3183 485Q or M PSL 2 pipe.

Theo Groenevelt, WET, CWB Level II, API I concur with Nicolae….have used and tested with OK10.62 Flux…excellent although somewhat Voltage sensitive…suggest initial root runs be done with single wire to establish a flat base for succeeding passes….as far as mechanicals go, pretty hard to beat…can go with an EM12k or EM14 k wire..depending on chemistry and desired

 

Nicolae Marin As per macro, this is SAW welding. You mentioned tandem with 3 arc. Even that i can indicate what welding consumable can be used, please contact your usual consumable manufacturer catalog and get from there a suitable welding consumable. Then testing is mandatory as for this, heat input and cooling rate is very important. For example, ( without any commercial implication) i can give example of welding consumable Esab Autorod 12.34+ OK flux 10.62. this will give you mechanical proprieties require for API X70., (this welding consumable will give you following mechanical proprieties: Ys min 540MPa, Ts min 620 MPa including CVN min 60 @-40) (API 5L X70 have a min Ys of 482 MPa and Ts 565 MPa and these are the values take in account for design and testing)
